High beam only worked on one side for a couple of seconds and a amber lamp warning was showing in the instrument cluster. I tore down the front and inside the headlight one of the cables to the headlight shutter motor was broken. A bit of wire and some soldering did the trick, now everything is back to normal.

Just came home from an easter trip to Italy, driving 3.000 Km with my 612 without any problems, just to realize at home that the right head light isn't working anymore, both low- and high beam. Fuses are all ok, so I guess its the ballast or the bulb or both.

39 posts · Joined 2006. #12 · May 17, 2018. If you look real close to the inside top of the low beam you will see that the reflector is black on top. The heat of the zenon bulb burns the silver coating and causes the light to be dim. It can't be fixed but you can buy a new aftermarket projector.
There is a little blue connection with two wires and one of the wires flaked off so I had to reconnect it and it solved the issue. Sent from my iPhone using Audizine. I am getting a mainbeam error on right side and the high beam doesn't work even after changing X1S bulbs.
